Do not use regular dish soap. This makes dishwashers flood.

Leaving too much soap on dishes can cause the dishwasher to leak or flood.

Don't use cheap dishwasher pods. The cheap casing doesn't fully dissolve and coats the inside of your dishwasher

Keep filters clean

Turn on the hot water to your sink before starting your dishwasher to make sure that the water in the line is hot, not cold

Ensure that nothing is blocking the spray arms
